SERDANG, 3 November 2025 – The Universiti Putra Malaysia Press Centre (PPUPM) welcomed a courtesy visit from Social Science Press (M) Sdn. Bhd. to explore potential strategic collaborations in scholarly publishing between the two institutions.

The delegation from Social Science Press was led by Dato’ Prof. Dr. Halim Hamat, accompanied by Dr. Yao Hai Tao and Mr. KC Wong. They were received by Dr. Puvaneswaran Kunasekaran, Deputy Director of PPUPM.

The meeting served as a platform to strengthen academic publishing networks through discussions on editorial expertise sharing, development of academic writing initiatives, and potential book and journal co-publishing projects.

The visit also provided opportunities to further enhance strategic ties between Malaysia and China in efforts to advance a competitive and high-impact regional scholarly publishing ecosystem.
