Second-Level Assessment of the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) at the UPM Press

3 August 2026, Serdang – The Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Press successfully conducted the Second-Level Assessment of the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) at its premises on 28 July 2026. The assessment formed part of the evaluation process for the Workplace Environment Quality Award in conjunction with the UPM Quality and Service Innovation Day (HKIP) 2025/2026. 

The assessment was carried out by two appointed assessors, Puan Mahani Amat@Halimi and Encik Mohamad Fiddezuan Ahmad Murad. The session commenced with a presentation on the UPM Press EKSA initiatives by Encik Md. Fairus Ahmad, EKSA Coordinator of the UPM Press, who highlighted the implementation, initiatives, and achievements accomplished under the EKSA programme. 

The assessors were then taken on a comprehensive inspection of all areas within the UPM Press EKSA scope, including the UPM Press Main Office, the Bookstore, and the Journal Section located at the Putra Science Park building. Throughout the physical assessment, the assessors were accompanied by Puan Jamak Aton Habi Mahmood and Cik Nurazreen Idayu, who provided detailed briefings on the implementation of EKSA practices and the continuous improvements undertaken in each area. 

Before the conclusion of the programme, a token of appreciation was presented to the assessors by the EKSA Coordinator in recognition of their contribution to the assessment process. The event concluded with a closing ceremony and a commemorative photography session attended by the Director of the UPM Press, Professor Ir. Ts. Is. Dr. Mohamed Thariq Haji Hameed Sultan, FASc, the assessors, and members of the UPM Press EKSA Committee.
