KUALA LUMPUR, 27 July – The Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) marked a significant milestone with the launch of the book Royal Malaysia Police: United Nations Peacekeeping Missions, which documents PDRM’s involvement, experiences, and contributions to United Nations
(UN) peacekeeping missions since 1991.

The launch ceremony was officiated by the Inspector-General of Police, YDH IG Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Haji Mohd Khalid bin Haji Ismail, and was attended by RMP’s top management, representatives from government agencies, UN peacekeeping veterans, the authors, Yayasan Generasi Malaysia, and the National Book Development Foundation.

In his address, the Inspector-General described the book as an important legacy that chronicles the history, challenges, experiences, and achievements of RMP officers who have served in peacekeeping missions in conflict-affected countries. He noted that RMP’s participation in international peacekeeping operations reflects the force’s professionalism, integrity, and commitment to supporting global peace and security.

He also expressed his appreciation to all officers and personnel who have served in peacekeeping missions and expressed his hope that the book would serve as a valuable reference and a source of inspiration for future generations of RMP personnel. He further extended his congratulations to the team of authors and all parties whose dedication
and collaboration made the publication of the book possible.
