Serdang, 28 February – The UPM Press Centre received a visit from the Chairman of the UPM Board of Directors (LPU), YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Dato' Dr. Ibrahim Komoo. He wa exceptionally impressed by the works and the role carried out by UPM Press Centre to ensure UPM's goals are achieved. During the visit, he was given a brief presentation on the main functions of the UPM Press Centre, which is publishing scholarly books that is hoped to spread knowledge and academic research for the good of the community. YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Dato' Dr. Ibrahim Komoo also fully supports the aspirations of UPM Press Centre to build its own printing house.

In addition to focusing on existing publications, he suggested that focus should also be given to major translation publications. Through this visit, he was very pleased with the success of online book sales in line with the latest technological advances. Following the brief discussion with UPM Press Centre Management, he was taken on a tour to UPM Bookstore and the visit wrapped up with a group photo with all the UPM Press Centre staff.
