The Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Press Centre (PPUPM) hosted eight academics from Indonesia's Universitas Sebelas Maret. The goal of this tour is to foster collaboration and share knowledge regarding academic journal publication. The delegation from Universitas Sebelas Maret was warmly welcomed by the Director of the UPM Publishing Centre, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohamed Thariq Hameed Sultan and Head of Division, Mr. Arafat Mashhuri Awang.

During the discussion, both sides shared their perspectives and experiences on the journal publication process, ideas for enhancing publication quality, and successful editorial management practices. This conversation is designed to strengthen collaboration between Malaysian and Indonesian higher education institutions in the field of scholarly publishing.

Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohamed Thariq expressed his delight for the visit and hoped that the collaboration will continue to benefit both parties. Meanwhile, the head of the group from Universitas Sebelas Maret thanked them for their warm welcome and expressed optimism that the expertise gained from the PPUPM would be useful in the publication of journals at their university. The visit concluded with a photo session and the sharing of souvenirs as a token of remembrance and appreciation for the close relationship between UPM and Universitas Sebelas Maret.
