KUALA LUMPUR, 24 June – A strategic discussion on a book publication project was held today between the Chief Minister of Melaka, YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Yusoh, and the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Press. The meaningful meeting took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The main objective of the discussion was to enable YAB Datuk Seri Utama to thoroughly review and refine the manuscript draft and publication materials for a book that will be jointly published with UPM Press. This initiative reflects his strong commitment to ensuring that the writing quality and published content meet the highest standards before reaching readers.

The meeting was further enriched by the presence of prominent figures from the publishing and academic sectors. Among those in attendance were the Director of UPM Press, Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohamed Thariq Hameed Sultan, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Pembangunan Buku Negara, Tan Sri Prof. Datuk Wira Dr. Abdul Latiff Abu Bakar. Datuk Dr. Roslan Basaruddin was also present at the session.

This collaboration between the Melaka State Government, UPM Press, and leading figures from the Yayasan Pembangunan Buku Negara is expected to enrich Malaysia’s literary and knowledge resources while further strengthening the publishing industry and promoting the dissemination of knowledge throughout the country.
