The Universiti Putra Malaysia Press Centre (PPUPM) was delighted to receive the official delegates from the Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ), Indonesia on 13 June 2024. The delegates, whom was led by the Deputy Rector and consisted of 11 lecturers, aimed to share and discuss their knowledge and expertise in academic book publications, marketing techniques, issues, and journal publications.

The UMJ delegates were received by the Director of PPUPM, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohamed Thariq Hameed Sultan and its Head of Division, En. Arafat Mashhuri Awang. The academic visit was highly productive in discussing pressing matters regarding academic book publications, effective marketing strategies, and the publication industry as a whole. Besides that, the visit also discussed on academic journal publications focussing on improving the quality and impact of each published journal.

The collaboration is hoped to pave a bigger pathway for future engagements in years to come between UPM and UPM, specifically on improving the quality of academic publications and researches. This visit is not only for the benefit of UPM but also for the academic community, in having a better global outreach.

PPUPM would like to express its humble gratitude to UMJ for the visit and hope the collaboration will continue to foster in years to come.
