Welcome to the Special Issue for the Pertanika Journal of Science and Technology (PJST). PJST is an open-access journal for studies in Science and Technology published by Universiti Putra Malaysia Press (UPM Press). The guest editors are Assoc. Prof. Dr S. Venkatesh, Dr S. Vijayan and Dr M. M. Matheswaran from the Sri Eshwar College of Engineering, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. The theme is “Innovations in Energy Utilization and Equipment Design”. The selected papers for this Special Issue focus on innovations and technological improvements in designing energy-efficient equipment, vital in minimizing energy consumption and operational costs. All the papers published in this edition underwent Pertanika’s stringent peer-review process involving a minimum of two reviewers comprising internal and external referees.
