Welcome to the Special Issue of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (PJSSH). PJSSH is an open-access journal for Social Sciences and Humanities studies published by Universiti Putra Malaysia Publishers (UPM Press). The guest editor is Prof. Dr. Fazal Mohamed Mohamed Sultan from Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia. The theme is "Language and Society". The articles selected for this Special Issue discuss semantics, stylistics, language adjustment and sociolinguistics connected to religion, literature and community culture. All the papers published in this edition underwent Pertanika’s stringent peer-review process involving at least two internal and external reviewers.
