August 30, 2023 - The second series of the Thesis to Book Transformation Workshop Series was conducted at the Sultan Abdul Samad UPM Library's Librarian's Corner Meeting Room, hosted by the UPM Press Centre.

For the first time since its online introduction in 2022, the three-day programme was held in a hybrid format. Participants for the third instalment included teachers from surrounding schools as well as those from UPM. The purpose of this workshop is to teach these academics how to produce a scholarly manuscript based on their theses.

The invited speaker, who is also an award-winning writer, Dr. Halim Razali, walks the participants through the process of turning their thesis into a scholarly book step-by-step. Among his accomplishments was winning the 2013 National Book Award, which is the top prize under the general book category. The Editorial and Production Section of UPM Press Centre deserves the highest praise for holding this workshop effectively, as well as to all committed participants.
