PUTRAJAYA, 2 MAY - UPM Press held a preliminary discussion with the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) at the Immigration Department Headquarters. This meeting aims to discuss the direction of a coffee table book publication that will document the significant role and contributions of the Immigration Department to the nation.

Ts. Dr. Mohamed Thariq bin Haji Hameed Sultan, Director of UPM Press completed the initial presentation of the draft. This manuscript will document the department's history, challenges, and achievements in ensuring border security and the effective yet humane management of international movement.

Also present at the meeting were Mr. Ismail bin Mokhtar, Deputy Director General (Management), Dr. Muhammad Syahmi bin Jaafar, representative of the Visa, Pass and Permit Division, and Mrs. Norlizawaty binti Abdu Samad, representative of the Policy and Strategic Planning Division.

This publication aims to help the public appreciate the services and dedication of immigration officials and members while enhancing public recognition of the professionalism applied in the country’s immigration management.
