15 August 2022 – The Yayasan Pembangunan Buku Negara (YPBN) together with Universiti Putra Malaysia and Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) will be organising a 2022 International Book Conference, Malaysia Book Expo, National Book Award and Writers’ Club Forum on 22 – 25 August 2022 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. being held at the Main Hall, Pusat Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

With the slogan entitled “Keluarga Malaysia – Membaca Sepanjang Hayat”, the main objective of the programme is to allow agencies to play an effective role to the public as the catalyst in the thinking, social and cultural phenomenon, in line with the Malaysia’s aspiration – “Wawasan Kemakmuran Bersama Keluarga Malaysia”. Besides that, this programme is aimed to penetrate all levels of the community in benefitting the services offered by the practitioners and authorities of the Book and Creative industries.

This programme is participated by book distributors and publishers who exhibit collections of books and original works. Among others are Dewan Industri Buku Malaysia (DIBM), Gabungan Penulis Nasional (GAPENA), Majlis Buku Kebangsaan (MBKM), Majlis Penerbitan Ilmiah Malaysia (MAPIM), Majlis Buku Kanak-Kanak dan Remaja Malaysia (MBKRM), Institut Terjemahan dan Buku Malaysia (ITBM), Penerbit Buku Malaysia (MABOPA), Persatuan Penerbit dan Pengedar Buku Bumiputera (IKATAN), Persatuan Kontraktor Buku Malaysia (PKBM), Yayasan Dakwah Islamiyah (YADIM), and Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia (IKIM).
