Serdang March 11 - UPM Press invited YBhg. Professor Emeritus Dato' Dr. Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman for a knowledge sharing session regarding the management and administration of the organisation.

The half-day session began at 8.30 am in Bicara Room, UPM Press Book Store. Professor Emeritus Dato' Dr. Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman or Pak Sheikh delivered a sharing session called "To Be World Standard Organization".

In his sharing session he stated that there are three roles played by a person in an organisation: the roles of an observer, the person that make things happen and the person thinking about what will happen.

According to him, everyone should have the 6E which is 'expertise', 'experience', 'energy', 'excitement', 'empathy' and 'ethics'. He added that there are three sources of happiness in life: receiving materials, receiving acknowledgement and the most important one is giving all back in return.

Professor Emeritus Dato 'Dr. Sheikh Omar served UPM for 43 years in teaching and research. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from 1997 to 2001 and Director of Corporate Planning Division from 2009 to 2011. He was awarded the Professor Emeritus by UPM in March 2012.

He is currently the CEO of SOAR Consultings Sdn. Bhd. and principal consultant of Questpro Training Services.
